We believe children have a right to a choice when it comes to their learning, so at Only About Children (OAC) the basis of our curriculum is child‐led play‐based learning. This is embedded into our daily practice with programs such as Active, Drama, Language, Music & Sustainability. Our programs are not 'bolted on' – they are embedded into everything that we do. We operate over 80 campuses across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and provide high‐quality early years education and care to over 8000 families.
About the Role
Our Sydney campuses are looking to welcome full‐time Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators with at least two years of full‐time work experience in an Early Childhood setting. This is a full‐time role for a Diploma qualified Room Leader with an annual salary of $68,865 to $80,000 + Super, depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure child safety and welfare at all times by actively supervising and interacting with children.
* Ensure that our children are educated and cared for to the highest standard.
* Engage each child in meaningful, open interactions that support the acquisition of skills for life and learning.
* Build trusting, responsive relationships with children.
* Facilitate a nurturing and loving environment for the children at the campus.
* Comply with national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Provide ongoing input for all documentation associated with Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) requirements.
* Deliver and maintain routines and programmes specific to the room, including small groups.
* Implement the Grow curriculum within the campus.
* Document children's learning through the OAC Connect app, and support and mentor other team members.
* Create and set up stimulating learning environments in line with OAC Grow.
* Collaborate with the team, supporting and respecting other members regarding developmental outcomes and school readiness in consultation with the Campus Director.
Additional Responsibilities
* Inspire children through play‐based and interest‐focused activities.
* Mentor a team of educators through educational guidance.
* Create meaningful partnerships with families, children and educators to achieve positive outcomes for all children in care.
* Plan and programme with support from the OAC Grow curriculum and EYLF.
* Maintain ongoing records of children's development.
* Assist with daily room tasks such as activity preparation and meal times.
* Commit to child safety and wellbeing in everyday practices.

Skills and Experience
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognised Registered Training Organisation (or equivalent ACECQA‐approved qualification).
* Minimum of two years full‐time relevant work experience.
* Passion for Early Childhood education and development.
* Creative, supportive, and cooperative team player.
* Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
* Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
* Experience with programming, planning and snapshots.
* Ability to manage a team within the room.
* Excellent communication and liaison skills with parents and families.
* Proficient in documenting children's learning.
* Experience establishing room routines.
