Description Gym Attendant – Full Time Location: Victoria Barracks, Paddington Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:45 AM – 1:51 PM (38 hours per week) Pay Rate: $26.36 per hour regular overtime available Early starts, early finishes – no weekends. BGIS is seeking a Full-Time Gym Attendant to join our team at Victoria Barracks in Paddington. This weekday-only role offers great work-life balance and the chance to support the health and wellbeing of defence personnel. About the Role You’ll be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the gym and provide first-level health and safety support. This includes managing bookings, assisting with equipment setup and pack-up, performing CPR/first aid if needed, and ensuring the gym remains clean, safe, and welcoming. Key Responsibilities Open and close the gym each day Welcome members, check ID, and manage daily sign-ins Support Physical Training Instructors with equipment setup/pack-down Respond to incidents with First Aid and CPR as required Maintain and manage loan equipment and facility cleanliness Report any maintenance or equipment faults Handle enquiries and assist with gym/pool bookings Participate in regular stocktakes and general housekeeping duties What You’ll Need Current First Aid and CPR certification (required) Great customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and follow procedures Professional presentation and reliable work ethic Willingness to undergo Baseline Security Clearance Ideally located within a reasonable distance of Paddington What’s in It for You Early finish every day – reclaim your afternoons Weekday roster only – no late nights or weekends Overtime opportunities available Long-term, stable role in a respected defence setting Friendly and supportive team environment Why Join BGIS?
