The Wholesale Fruit Company is a family owned and family run business with over 35 year’s experience in the industry.
The Wholesale Fruit Company is located in the Brisbane Market at Rocklea and supply fruit and vegetable products to the hospitality industry.
Back in 2019 we completely renovated our warehouse - top to bottom with a mezzanine level office, temperature controlled picking area & cold room. In 2024 we introduced a paperless picking system with integrated scales - picking and packing made easy!
THE POSITION
The Wholesale Fruit Company require a mature, reliable & fit employee to join our night picking team. You will be required to pick and pack fruit & vegetable orders accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining quality control. This is a Permanent Part time position with a guarantee of 32 hours per week. Applicant must be physically fit with high attention to detail, and ability to follow systems and directions.
You will be required to work the following days and rostered hours, with the chance to work overtime when required:
Sunday - 4.00pm to 12.00am - 8 hours
Monday - 4.00pm to 12.00am - 8 hours
Tuesday - 4.00pm to 12.00am - 8 hours
Thursday - 4.00pm to 12.00am - 8 hours
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be on time for work
Pick and Pack Fruit & Vegetable orders accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining quality control
Have a friendly, positive & 'can-do' attitude
Must be able to work autonomously, as well as in a team environment
Applicant needs to be physically fit, fast with their hands, and able to follow instructions
General warehouse duties, including cleaning
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Previous experience in the fruit and vegetable industry is an advantage.
Experience with picking and packing.
Current Driver's Licence, Forklift Licence is an advantage.
Must be computer literate.
