About the job Company Description Adapt and Learn is a family-run provider of Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology services for private clients and NDIS participants across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, the Scenic Rim, and the Gold Coast. The team delivers both community and clinic-based care, with a focus on creating fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences rather than a traditional clinical environment. Family involvement and clear communication are central to the service model, ensuring each child receives high-quality care, facilities, and technology. Adapt and Learn designs holistic, individualized therapies that support children to grow and develop at their own pace. The organization is guided by values of consistency, personalization, community, and respect for each child and their caregivers as part of the Adapt and Learn family. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paediatric Speech Therapist role based in our Ashmore Clinic on the Gold Coast, QLD. The Paediatric Speech Therapist will assess and diagnose communication and language needs in children, and develop individualised therapy plans aligned with their goals and family priorities. Daily responsibilities include delivering one-on-one therapy sessions and monitoring progress through regular review and documentation. The role involves collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and other team members to support functional communication outcomes and promote a sense of belonging for each child. Qualifications and Requirements Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia Current Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain), and a valid driver's license. Demonstrated clinical skills in Speech Therapy and paediatric Speech assessment and intervention. Experience working with Communication Disorders, including speech sound, fluency, and social communication challenges. Knowledge and experience in supporting children with Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language difficulties. Experience working with children and families, ideally within disability, NDIS, or community-based settings. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and family-centered approach. Commitment to evidence-based practice, cultural safety, and ongoing professional learning.
