Job Description
This role involves providing support to teachers and students in a special school environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out routine tasks and assisting with planning of student routines, as well as supporting communication between teachers and parents.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively within a team environment, as well as possess a sound knowledge of basic technical and/or scientific principles.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines
* Supporting communication between teachers and parents
* Communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
* Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting
Required Skills and Qualifications
The following qualifications and skills are required for this position:
* Ability to undertake routine and teacher assistant support tasks across a range of work areas within a Special School environment
* Capacity to work co-operatively and communicate effectively within a team environment
* Sound knowledge of basic technical and/or scientific principles
