Job Description About the Opportunity We're looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Officer to lead the creation, curation, and management of content across our social media and digital channels.
This role plays a key part in promoting the University's brand, student recruitment, and broader strategic objectives.
Working closely with colleagues across the Marketing and Communications team and wider University community, you'll help grow and maintain a strong, engaging digital presence.
This position involves regular collaboration with internal stakeholders to source compelling content and ensure consistent messaging.
Please note: This role requires flexibility, including availability for after-hours, weekend, and on-call work as needed.
Key Responsibilities Create compelling brand and recruitment content—including social media posts and videos—to support strategic marketing objectives related to student recruitment and the University's reputation.
Champion brand consistency by developing and maintaining the University's writing and editing style guide.
Review content for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Griffith's tone and style, and provide expert advice on copywriting across the institution.
Contribute to content marketing campaigns by researching, crafting, and adapting complex information into engaging materials tailored to diverse audiences and digital channels.
Collaborate with Marketing Managers, Communications Officers, and the Web Studio team to plan and deliver high-quality, multiplatform content using industry best practices.
Oversee the use of content management and workflow systems, ensuring accurate cataloguing and record-keeping to support efficient production and access to content assets.
About you Tertiary qualifications in an area relating to journalism, communication or marketing and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and training.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 6 Salary – Base range - $91,.49 - $97,.71 + 17% super.
