Heidelberg Materials Australia have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join the aggregates team at our NATA Accredited Laboratory based at the Bass Point Quarry, located within the Illawarra region of NSW.
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic. This is not your usual white coat lab role You'll be out in the field in your high viz and PPE, sampling and testing as well as working within the Quarry Laboratory.
The successful applicant will have impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be risk aware and safety driven. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the construction industry in a full-time technical role within one of Australia's leading construction materials suppliers.
In Your New Role, You Will
* Perform quarry material testing - Aggregate & Soil
* Carry out equipment calibrations
* Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained
* Assist the technical team

* Great base hourly rate starting at $31.11, with higher rates up to $40.58 per hour depending on experience and competency level + OT, allowances & super
