**Your new company**
Hays are working with an Australian manufacturer of PVC, PE and PP pipe systems. This established company are seeking a Maintenance Fitter to be based at their site in Western Sydney on Day Shift.
**Your new role**
You will organise and maintain the day-to-day running of the sites mechanised production equipment, associated plant/equipment, and fixed property.
- You will be responsible for keeping the equipment performing at its required production rate, maintaining a preventative maintenance program in relation to the production line to ensure there are mínimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns.
- Your new role will be on day shift, and is quite autonomous. There is a collaborative maintenance team on site, which sits among a broader production team of 25+.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will be a trade qualified maintenance fitter and have an excellent understanding fault-finding and repair on plastic production machinery ideally extrusion or similar production equipment.
- If you do not have plastic experience but can demonstrate a very strong hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skill set across production machinery this is also acceptable.
- You will be able to pull on prior experience working in a manufacturing site as part of a small maintenance team on both continuous production lines and standalone production equipment.
