Join Coles Group, one of Australia's leading retailers, where you can make a difference to millions of lives while contributing to the future of our technology platforms.

About the Team

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that supports Coles Group. In this role you will work with large data sets and new technologies to solve complex, meaningful problems and expand your skills and experience.

About the Role

As the Domain Architect for Replenishment & Forecasting, you will define and maintain the architectural vision and roadmap for the domain. Your responsibilities include:

* Aligning strategic goals with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives.
* Translating strategic goals into target and transitional state architectures while identifying risks, opportunities and technical debt.
* Collaborating with cross‐functional teams—product, engineering, QA, operations, and DevOps—to ensure architectural integrity and scalability.
* Representing the domain in enterprise‐wide planning and governance forums.
* Driving innovation and staying abreast of emerging technologies.
* Leading large‐scale transformation initiatives such as cloud migration and legacy modernization.
* Contributing to architectural governance and agile delivery practices.

About You And Your Skills

* 10+ years in technology architecture roles, including experience as a lead or enterprise architect in complex, enterprise environments.
* Proven experience defining domain or enterprise‐level architecture strategies and roadmaps and aligning them to business priorities and enterprise goals.
* Experience leading delivery of large‐scale transformation initiatives, including legacy modernisation, platform consolidation and cloud migration.
* Demonstrated experience in influencing and implementing strategic planning and organisational structures.
* Strong leadership in architectural governance, design authority and standards definition within agile delivery environments.
* Extensive experience designing scalable, secure and integrated platforms across multiple technologies and architectural styles (e.g. microservices, event‐driven, cloud‐native).
* Strong track record of influencing senior technology and business stakeholders and driving consensus across competing priorities.
* Proven ability to work in federated or matrixed architectural environments, collaborating effectively across domain and enterprise boundaries.
* Demonstrated impact in optimising cost, risk and value outcomes through architectural decision making.
* Deep expertise in architecture frameworks and practices such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar (formal certification is advantageous).
* Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS integration, enterprise integration, data flows, API management and security architecture.
* Solid knowledge of data architecture and governance principles, including regulatory and compliance considerations.
* Excellent systems thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex technology landscapes and design fit‐for‐purpose solutions.
* Highly effective communicator, able to convey architectural vision to both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
* Skilled at navigating ambiguity, balancing long‐term architectural vision with immediate delivery needs and mentoring others in applying architectural practice.

What's in it for you?

* Flexible working options and hybrid work arrangements.
* Office perks such as gym facilities, fitness classes, free parking, BBQ area, mini‐Coles supermarket, and a fooderie hub.
* 5% annual discount on supermarket and liquor purchases, with periodic double discounts.
* Recognition and reward through our digital platform 'mythanks'.
* Opportunities for learning and development, including career development programs and job‐specific training.
* Paid parental leave for permanent team members.
* Team member share plan for purchasing Coles Group shares.
