We are locally and independently owned, with pharmacies nationwide, offering competitive benefits, industry-standard pay, and opportunities for career growth.Position OverviewThe Pharmacist will handle daily operational duties related to dispensing prescription medications in a long-term/post-acute care pharmacy, adhering to quality standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify the completeness and accuracy of all medication labels and orders, including emergency kits and IV medications.Maintain and update resident medical and medication records.Assist with ordering, handling, and inventory management of controlled substances, including schedule II drugs.Collaborate with pharmacy technicians for inventory reconciliation to ensure regulatory compliance.Provide clinical guidance and respond to medication-related inquiries from staff and patients.Document communications with healthcare providers and patients in medical records.Supervise the preparation of sterile IV drug products.Provide coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA.Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.QualificationsActive Pharmacist license in good standing in the practice state.Management experience preferred.Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy (Bachelors or PharmD).Accuracy and efficiency in dispensing medications.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Experience with FrameworkLTC, Microsoft Office Suite.At least 2 years of recent experience in an acute-care setting or 1 year as a production pharmacist preferred.Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and with multiple priorities.Physical DemandsSit or stand for 7-10 hours daily.Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, or balancing.Work extended hours as needed.Lift up to 50 pounds.Benefits for Full-Time EmployeesMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.401K plan.Disability insurance.Tuition reimbursement.PTO and holiday pay.Performance-based raises and career growth opportunities.Annual flu vaccines and referral bonuses.Additional InformationThis role is part-time, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as schedules may vary based on business needs.
