**Lead the Way in Medical Training: Education Registrar Position, SALHN**
As a Medical Education Registrar, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for interns and prevocational Trainee Medical Officers (TMOs) at Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you'll provide mentorship and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment while contributing to SALHN's accreditation status with the South Australian Medical Education and Training authority. From facilitating simulation training to participating in recruitment and accreditation processes, this multifaceted role offers opportunities to enhance medical education through teaching, research, and professional development.
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Director Clinical Training, some of your duties as the Medical Education Registrar may involve:
- Providing opportunities for education and reflection in the clinical environment.
- Attending and participating in TMO medical educational meetings.
- Continuously reviewing existing practices and promoting change where required.
**Please note**:As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Medical Education Registrar will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
**About you**:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- Successful completion of initial (primary) specialty entrance examination or working towards completion of specialty exit exams.
