About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Services Superintendent to join our Golden Grove polymetallic operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Technical Services Manager and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on providing leadership, direction and management to Mine Planning, Scheduling, Geotechnical and Ventilation teams, ensuring technical output is the best it can be and that team workflows are efficient and robust. Your primary responsibilities will include: Leading and developing your team, fostering a culture around our TEAMS values of transparency, excellence, accountability, mutual respect, safety and collaboration. Maintaining statutory and operational standards for ground control, ventilation and mine design; including the Ground Control Management Plan, Ventilation Management Plan and supporting documentation. Guiding the development of short and medium term mine designs and integrated forecasts to set a practical, efficient and low-risk pathway to deliver business targets. Working with operational teams to execute the plan successfully, identifying and championing opportunities to deliver upside or address risks. Providing geotechnical and ventilation expertise to keep our operating environment safe and healthy whilst enabling planned production sequences. Coordinating input into Life of Mine and Budget processes including design concepts, geotechnical sequencing, ventilation modelling and capital requirements. Driving improvement projects such as simplification, technology rollouts, productivity enhancements, or other initiatives you’re passionate about to improve culture and wellbeing or to deliver value. About You Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a can-do approach, have significant experience in Technical Services, a strong understanding of underground mining, and a demonstrated ability to deliver positive change leading a team of professionals. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: Technical Degree, i.e. Bachelor of Science / Engineering (Mining or Geological / Geotechnical Engineering). Deep and varied understanding of technical services disciplines; core functions and strategic fit into the mining process. C class drivers licence or recognised equivalent. Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical to operate unrestricted underground. Skilled at building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships at all levels. Developed team leadership skills and tools to achieve sustainable performance. Experienced with underground risk management process application and leadership. An ability to make decisions using sound technical judgement, using your initiative to identify and address emerging challenges. Proficient in mine planning and design software use (Deswik CAD, Scheduler and Ops or similar, ideally with exposure to Deswik MDM and Ventsim).
