About the RoleThe Senior Category Manager plays a pivotal role in driving collaboration with major Australian retailers to deliver insight‑led category and shopper initiatives that align with MLA brand campaigns and industry priorities. Blending key account management with deep analytical category expertise, this role leads category insights, planning, and activation to ensure red meat maintains a strong, sustainable, and differentiated position in the market.
Our ideal Senior Category Manager has:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Commerce or related field.Proven experience in Category Management in Australian FMCG retail.Strong commercial acumen, revenue management capability, and financial modelling skills.Exceptional account management, relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and influencing capability.Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into commercial action.Strong communication and presentation capability.Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, budgets, and cross-functional of the red meat supply chain (or ability to develop quickly).High level of initiative, problem solving and strategic thinking.
