Accounts Payable Officer – 3 Month Contract (Potential for Permanent)
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a dynamic construction and technical services organisation on a short-term contract. This role will provide hands‐on support to the Payroll team, managing end-to-end AP processes and high‐volume invoice processing, while supporting day-to-day financial operations.
There is potential for permanent placement at the end of the contract, depending on performance and team needs.
Location: Western Sydney
Hours: Full‐time, Monday – Friday, standard business hours
Contract Duration: Mid March – June 26 (covering leave)
Key Responsibilities
* Full end-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including:
o Manual invoice entry and payment runs
o Handling vendor and internal queries
o Reconciling accounts and financial records
* Process 500+ invoices per month
* Support the Payroll team with manual AP tasks
* Liaise with internal teams and elevate issues where required
Key Requirements
* Strong experience in end-to-end AP, ideally within construction or project‐based environments
* Comfortable with manual processing of invoices and payroll tasks
* Experience with COINS is highly desirable
* Ability to handle high-volume AP processes
* Confident communicator, able to ask questions when needed
* Attention to detail and methodical work approach
