**Position Overview**:
As an Edge Protection Installer at Edge Secure, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of edge protection systems at construction sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of workers by erecting and dismantling edge protection structures efficiently and according to safety standards. This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, White Card certification, experience working at heights, and a strong work ethic to handle early starts and long days.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Install and dismantle edge protection systems on construction sites in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.
2. Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites using a company-provided vehicle.
3. Conduct pre-installation assessments to identify potential hazards and determine the appropriate placement of edge protection systems.
4. Secure edge protection structures safely and securely, ensuring stability and integrity throughout the construction process.
5. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate installation activities and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Inspect and maintain edge protection equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
7. Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall arrest systems.
8. Complete required documentation, including installation reports, safety assessments, and equipment maintenance logs.
9. Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety by consistently delivering high-quality workmanship and adhering to established best practices.
10. Adapt to changing job site conditions and schedules, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to work extended hours as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites.
- White Card certification for construction induction.
- Previous experience working at heights or installing edge protection systems preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with early starts and long days.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks requiring manual labor and lifting heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willingness to undergo additional training and certification as required.
