Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced diesel technician to join our team in Wodonga, Australia.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of trucks with access to the latest diagnostic technology, ongoing training, and strong team support.
As a diesel technician, your main responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out repairs, servicing, and inspections on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and drivelines
* Using advanced diagnostic software and computer systems to identify and resolve issues
* Preparing detailed, clear reports on repair work, supplies, and recommendations
* Mentoring and guiding apprentice technicians, ensuring safe work practices
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent
* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a focus on safety
* Experience in the heavy vehicle industry (preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of American, European, or Japanese drivelines (highly regarded)
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Current HC/HR licence (advantageous, not essential)
* Own toolkit and full working rights in Australia
