As a Test Manager the primary purpose of this role is to lead the integration & test activities for our Linear, VOD, AdSmart and DRM digital systems onto Sky +, Sky Q and Sky glass platforms, which will include onboarding activities for Sky and 3rd party content providers. Ensuring that your team delivers the best possible testing services to their stakeholder and customers.
What you'll do:
- Provide effective test management for projects within your platform portfolio, providing a flexible approach to testing and giving accurate estimates for work, and following departmental procedures.
- Take responsibility for test planning, test design and execution, test environment planning, test reporting, test sign-off and operational handover, ensuring these activities are being done in the best possible way.
- Identify and make improvements to your test processes and tools to increase the velocity of test cycles without compromising on quality. Share findings with the wider team.
- Communicate effectively with your test team and project teams keeping them informed of key updates.
- Work with your direct reports to help them set and review personal development plans and agile goals/objectives throughout the year.
What you'll bring:
- Ability to manage people in a very positive way and keep the team motivated, growing, and delivering to the best of their abilities.
- An excellent track record and in-depth knowledge of test management and experience in delivering complex test projects.
- Strong communication skills, technical skills, and domain knowledge of the platform under test. Excellent organization skills, able to efficiently track the work that needs to be done to deliver on project work against set timelines.
- Fast problem-solving capabilities. Understand and convey technical concepts and issues and present them to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and progress reporting at all levels.
- Strong understanding of test automation and software industry delivery trends.
- Ability to highlight areas of risk and offering solutions to overcome these.
