**Supplier Category Development Lead

**About the role
Our Supplier Capability team delivers continued improvement to enhance the engagement with our supplier network to be the most preferred retailer to partner with.

Our team is a key conduit between Woolworths Suppliers and Supermarket Commercial stakeholders to continuously improve our framework, leveraging our data and insights to inform our Supplier interactions.

You will support the development and delivery of an effective framework that ensures better outcomes for our customers and enhances the quality of conversations with suppliers, step-changing our Trade Partner Plans to clearly be the most preferred retailer to partner with.

Key Responsibilities
- Continual development of tools (products) and processes that help grow Woolworths and its diverse range of supplier's capability
- Drive the development and implementation of increased volume of high-quality, effective joint category plans
- Deliver continued improvement in Supplier engagement with commercial processes to grow "Voice of Supplier"
- Drive continuous improvement and evolve the Supplier Engagement framework in line with the company's strategic objectives through the development of Supplier Engagement including Joint Category Planning Processes and Supplier Connect Tools to enable Trade Partner planning.
- Actively solicits stakeholder input and feedback and monitors usage & engagement through analytical approaches, quantitative and qualitative data and research to enable continual enhancements.

**About You
You bring a good understanding of the category management process, and how data sources and analysis tools are used by suppliers & retailers.
- Experience in a Category Development role with an FMCG / Retail / Supplier environment
- Clear analytical thinking, experienced breaking information into component parts, patterns and relationships
- Self-starter, with a bias toward action and attention to detail, able to turn information into actionable insights
- Strong empathy for product users and ability to define user functional, visual and data requirements
- Advanced Excel, Google Apps
- Strong stakeholder & communication skills
- Curious to understand customer behaviour and its links to commercial outcomes
