Description
* Oversee and manage day‐to‐day accounting operations, assisting in accounts payable and receivable.
* Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate month‐end and year‐end closing processes efficiently.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities across departments.
* Assist in auditing processes and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
* BAS Lodgements and Tax enquiries.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their growth and development.
Profile
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Professional certification such as CPA or CA (or working towards it).
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and advanced Excel skills (V‐Lookups & Pivot Tables).
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities.
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
