About the Role
This role is a 6-month fixed term contract with the opportunity to be made permanent based out of their offices in the Adelaide Hills.
Key responsibilities:
The General Accountant will support the day-to-day finance operations of a not-for-profit aged care provider, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across the business. The role will be responsible for month end close, general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of management reports. It will also support budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets, BAS and audit requirements, with a strong focus on funding, grants and compliance specific to the aged care and NFP environment. Working closely with operational stakeholders, the role plays a key part in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the organisation's broader care objectives.
About You
You're a hands on General Accountant who enjoys owning the detail while still understanding the bigger picture. You've worked in an aged care, healthcare or not for profit environment, or are confident navigating funding, compliance and reporting requirements that come with it. You're comfortable running month end, maintaining the general ledger and producing clear, accurate reports, and you're not afraid to get involved where needed. You're organised, approachable and practical, with the ability to work closely with non finance stakeholders and keep things moving in a busy, care focused environment.
