Position Overview
The General Manager - Education Programs holds a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for a range of educational initiatives, including Child and Family Services, Deadly Choices, Wannabe Children and School, and Connected Beginnings. Your leadership will ensure that these programs not only operate effectively but also align with the organization's mission to strengthen early learning, educational achievement, and cultural identity within the community.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing program evaluations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes accountability and cultural safety.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in early childhood education and community development, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts. You will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and programs that aim for continuous improvement.
* Relevant qualifications in early childhood development, education, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in program management within the human services sector.
* Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and community dynamics.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Working with Children Blue Card - required prior to commencement.
* Current Federal Police Check (within the last 6 months) - required prior to commencement.
* Valid Driver's Licence
