AV Network Integration Specialist
Darwin, Northern Territory | Full-Time

Audiovisual Projects is seeking an experienced and technically capable AV Network
& Integration Specialist to join our professional team in Darwin.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the AV Network & Integration Specialist plays a pivotal technical role in the delivery, configuration, integration and commissioning of professional AV systems.

This position extends well beyond installation. It requires strong expertise in AV networking, system configuration, technical diagnostics, documentation and commissioning support. You will contribute to ensuring systems are delivered to specification, thoroughly tested, properly documented and optimised for long-term reliability and performance.

Working collaboratively with installation technicians, programmers and project managers, you will help integrate AV and network infrastructure seamlessly across a wide range of commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Installation of professional AV equipment and associated infrastructure
* Configuration of AV hardware, including control systems, DSP platforms and video distribution systems
* Configuration and optimisation of AV networks, including Dante and AV-over-IP systems
* Integration, testing and verification of meeting room, conferencing and collaboration environments
* Advanced fault finding and technical diagnostics
* Supporting system commissioning, validation and performance testing
* Assisting with programming uploads and system performance verification
* Preparation of technical documentation, reports and as-built mark-ups
* Ensuring all installations meet quality, safety and performance standards

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should demonstrate:

* Minimum 3+ years' experience in the professional AV industry
* Proven experience installing, configuring and commissioning commercial AV systems
* Strong understanding of AV signal flow, system architecture and integration principles
* Experience configuring AV networks, including Dante
* Solid IT and data networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, managed switches, etc.)
* Experience working with Crestron, Q-SYS or similar control/DSP platforms
* Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and system drawings
* Advanced fault-finding and analytical problem-solving capability
* Strong computer literacy and technical documentation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS, Dante Certification, Crestron or Q-SYS certifications will be highly regarded.
