(Pro Rata) AHP4 | Ongoing Part Time Position, 33.75 Hours Per Week Transform Children's Lives - Child Development Services Manager at SALHN Play a pivotal leadership role in shaping integrated child development services across Southern Adelaide as the Child Development Services Manager (AHP4) within the Women’s & Children’s Division at SA Health. About the role: Reporting to the Director, Allied Health & Child Development, the Child Development Services Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, planning and oversight of Child Development Services across SALHN. The role works closely with clinical leaders, discipline leads and external partners to deliver contemporary, culturally responsive and integrated child development services. Key responsibilities include: Leading multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary child development teams to deliver safe, high‑quality and family‑centred care Driving the planning, development and evaluation of integrated child development services to improve access, experience and outcomes for children and families Managing and allocating human, financial and physical resources to meet service performance, quality and sustainability targets Embedding continuous improvement, quality, safety and risk management aligned with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards Fostering a positive, inclusive and high‑performing culture that supports workforce capability, supervision and professional development Collaborating with senior leaders, discipline leads and clinicians to strengthen integrated, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary models of care Leading and contributing to clinical research, service redesign and complex projects relevant to child development and early childhood services Representing Child Development Services and allied health with internal stakeholders and external government and non‑government partners About you: You are an experienced clinician and leader with a strong commitment to optimisation of child developmental outcomes, integrated care and service improvement. You bring sound clinical judgment, strong leadership capability and a collaborative approach to working with families, clinicians and partner organisations. You will demonstrate: Significant experience leading and managing, ideally within an interprofessional or transdisciplinary setting Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative, evidence‑based practice Strong experience in service development, implementation and evaluation within complex healthcare environments Highly developed communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills Demonstrated ability to use data, evidence and research to inform decision‑making and service improvement A high level of professional accountability, integrity and resilience in managing complex clinical, workforce and service challenges Commitment to culturally responsive practice and improving access and outcomes for Aboriginal children and families Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
