Job Overview
This role involves ensuring supplier performance aligns with contractual requirements, quality standards, and project timelines. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial manager and solution lead to integrate supplier efforts and deliver a system.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and verify supplier capabilities, performance, and compliance with contractual requirements.
* Manage supplier communication, issue escalation, and status reporting to program leadership.
* Oversee supplier cost, schedule, technical, and quality baselines, identifying risks and performance gaps.
* Support subcontract changes and provide recommendations on supplier contract modifications.
* Lead planning and execution of the Australian Industrial Capability Plan, including reporting and Local Industry Activity outcomes.
* Engage with Australian industry to identify, assess, and advocate for local suppliers and innovation opportunities throughout the program lifecycle.
About This Role
* Proven experience applying project management methodologies (e.g. PMI, Agile, PRINCE2).
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively at all levels.
* Solid technical understanding to evaluate supplier deliverables and contribute to technical discussions and documentation.
* Knowledge of subcontracting principles, including finance, contract types, scheduling, and earned value management.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Defence sector experience is highly regarded.
