About The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Consultant Psychiatrist, where you will be responsible for:

* Leading the delivery of evidence-informed, high-quality specialist mental health services to the community-based CAMHS population, in alignment with the National Mental Health Policy and WCHN Vision and Values.
* Providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team across one or more sites, serving infants, children, young people, and their families.
* Offering high-level consultation, psychiatric assessments, and therapeutic services as needed.
* Sharing accountability with the service manager and Clinical Coordinators for outcomes of multidisciplinary clinical practice, including leadership, clinical review, supervision, and consultation.
* Sharing accountability for outcomes of clinical practice in specific settings with the service manager and team coordinator.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
* Registrable as a Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated clinical excellence in the speciality of child psychiatry.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team, including leading improvements in clinical outcomes and in implementing clinical change.
* Demonstrated skills in complex problem solving and decision making at the organisational and individual level.
* Demonstrated ability to engage to consumers in individual care planning and broader service planning.
* Experience in a child and adolescent mental health setting using a multi-disciplinary approach.
* Experience in successfully liaising and working cooperatively with a range of community organisations to ensure an appropriate continuum of care.
