Job Summary:
This role involves promoting Aboriginal foster care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and providing training to potential carers.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to work with our team to develop Wathaurong's capacity to recruit and retain Aboriginal foster carers.
* Conduct home assessments and interviews with prospective foster carers.
* Provide information sessions and training on foster care requirements.
* Facilitate the recruitment and training of Aboriginal foster carers using the Our Carers for Our Kids training model.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support team members in an education or community service environment. Develop positive stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with diverse individuals in a culturally appropriate manner.
Qualifications:
Relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related area. Experience working with Aboriginal families and communities is highly desirable.
