Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gateway Operations Specialist to administer the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access platform and associated services. This role involves delivering enterprise Secure Web Gateway services, applying and managing security-focused SWG policies, URL filtering, threat prevention, and application control.
The successful candidate will configure, verify, and maintain redundancy and failover mechanisms to ensure continuous availability of the service. They will also apply upgrades, patches, and system releases using ITIL Release Management processes.
This role requires diagnosing and resolving complex network, application, and system internet connectivity issues. The candidate will implement and maintain role-based access control policies for system administration.
Collaboration and communication with project managers, technology domain stakeholders, and application owners are essential in ensuring successful operational outcomes.
The Gateway Operations Specialist will document, review, and maintain accurate technical artefacts, focusing on change processes. They will analyze and refine existing configurations and policies for improvements.
User and group provisioning and management are also part of this role, as well as developing and maintaining exclusion policies, rules, and reporting.
Requirements
* Ability to develop and apply IT Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, particularly incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management.
* Experience with modern Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions, preferably Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, including skills in physical firewalls, URL filtering, threat prevention, and SSL/TLS decryption.
* A strong practical understanding of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and VPN technologies.
* Working knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux server environments and how they interact with network security services.
* Experience contributing technical skills and knowledge to ICT projects to support the delivery of successful outcomes.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting application configuration and interoperability in Windows 10+ enterprise environments, including related software distribution systems.
