Full Time | Level 5: $101,148 – $105,267 per annum, plus superannuation

Renmark Paringa Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Financial Accountant to provide trusted financial insight, ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Council's financial operations while providing expert advice to managers and staff.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
* Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and assist with audit requirements.
* Support annual budgets and the Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP).
* Maintain compliance with internal controls and financial governance standards.
* Manage tax compliance, including GST and other statutory obligations.
* Assist with maintaining asset and insurance registers.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and experience in financial reporting.
* High attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
* Clear communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across teams.
* Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience (CPA/CA highly regarded).
* A commitment to continuous improvement and modelling Council's values of Accountability, Honesty, Respect, and Unity.
