Paediatric Speech Pathologist Vacancy
We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality allied health services to children and families. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering paediatric allied health capacity-building support to early childhood education and care services within the region. You will work collaboratively with a broader paediatric allied health team to provide coaching, modelling, group training, case consultations, and other discipline-specific services to kindergarten educators and families.
Key responsibilities include:
* Purposefully engaging kindergarten educators to identify and support the skill development of children as they prepare for school.
* Providing secondary consultation to kindergartens through coaching across various platforms.
* Undertaking discipline-specific tasks such as providing information on expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language development, speech sound development, engagement in book sharing, and early literacy activities.
* Working collaboratively with other disciplines within the team to provide a high-quality multi-disciplinary service.
* Effectively managing a caseload through organisation of appointments, handover of services for discipline-specific support, and joint delivery of sessions.
Requirements:
* A graduate or post-graduate degree in Speech Pathology.
* Experience working in paediatric allied health, preferably in kindergarten settings.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the goals and desired outcomes for children, families, and educators.
