Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Press and Information Assistant to join our team in Deakin, ACT. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of our information and communications strategy, focusing on social media.
The ideal candidate will have strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. They will also possess excellent language skills, particularly in English, with a proficiency level of C1 or above.
In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and editing various publications, including our newsletter and social media content. You will also review our online presence to ensure it is informative, accurate, and up-to-date. Additionally, you will assist in meetings and contribute to monitoring and follow-up of EU-related coverage in the Australian media.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum graduate qualification in journalism, media, public relations, political science, or a related field.
* A minimum of two years' work experience in the relevant fields, such as media, online publishing, or public relations.
* Excellent knowledge of digital media and social media platforms.
