The Role

Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Perinatal Social Work care to patients of the Royal Hospital for Women consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital, internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading centres for the care of mothers, babies, and women with benign gynaecological and gynae-oncology conditions.

Selection Criteria
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Post graduate hospital or relevant experience in clinical Social Work practice within women's Health and Indigenous people and marginalised groups.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent skilled judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement process and teaching, commensurate with years of experience.
- Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
- Demonstrated core competency skills in Perinatal.
