**About the Team**
The RDA Warehouse Manager reports through to our Inventory Planning Manager and oversees a team of 9 warehouse operatives. The role will be based at our MILVEHCOE facility in a still-new and well maintained warehouse.
**About the Role**
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for all aspects for safe, effective and efficient operation of RDA warehouse at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) at Redbank, Queensland and offsite warehouses. The Warehouse manager will ensure that warehouse staff are trained and qualified to perform their tasks, and that KPIs are developed and monitored to manage warehouse and staff performance.
- The general and generic duties of the
- **Warehouse Manager** includes, but is not limited to:
- Develop policy, processes and procedures to govern warehouse operations at the MILVEHCOE and offsite warehouse facilities;
- Ensure warehouse operations are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation;
- Implement procedures to ensure safe work practices;
- Monitor compliance with policy, processes and procedures and implement corrective and improvement actions as required;
- Develop the layout of warehouse configuration at the MILVEHCOE site, including materials flow and storage in consultion with the Logistics Engineer, to maximise efficiency for space and time, and to minimise material loss and damage;
- Ensure staff are trained and qualified to carry out their duties;
- Ensure warehouse tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes;
- Ensure materials are picked and sent to meet required materials schedules;
- Develop and monitor KPIs for the management and control of warehouse operations; and
- Ensure handling and storage of materials are such as to minimise loss and damage of those materials.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Demonstrated experience in management of warehouse operations;
- Warehouse management qualifications;
- Demonstrated knowledge in developing and improving warehouse policy, processes and procedures;
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing and improving warehouse operations and performance, including warehouse layout and design, KPIs, and stock control;
- Demonstrated knowledge of management and handling of Dangerours and Hazardous Goods;
- Awareness of National Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility;
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred);
- Ability to travel interstate and overseas when required; and
- Ability to gain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship is needed as a minimum).
