About The Role
Intrax is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth and new client acquisition across our Housing division. This is a national role focused purely on generating new business opportunities and expanding Intrax's market presence. The role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane and requires regular interstate travel to engage clients, build relationships and support national business development initiatives.
Reporting to the General Manager – Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities with key industry stakeholders. This role is best suited to a highly driven BDM with a strong hunter mentality and proven success in corporate B2B sales, ideally within engineering, construction, property or professional services environments.
You will work closely with leadership and operational teams to position Intrax competitively in the market and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Your Role Will Include, But Not Be Limited To
* Identify and develop new business opportunities with developers, builders, architects, asset owners, facility managers, councils, government agencies, insurers, strata managers, civil contractors and infrastructure stakeholders across Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects
* Lead high-level business development activities including proposals, RFPs, EOIs and tenders, positioning Intrax competitively
* Build and maintain long-term executive relationships with clients and stakeholders, keeping our brand and service front of mind
* Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Bid Team and Operations to ensure opportunities are won and projects delivered successfully
* Support growth strategies, market insights and business planning to expand Intrax's national presence
* Travel interstate regularly to engage clients and attend meetings across multiple Australian markets
You will be successful in this role because
* You have 8–10 years of business development experience, ideally in engineering, construction or professional services
* Proven ability to operate at a senior/executive level with commercial acumen and strategic selling skills
* Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills, with experience building long-term client relationships
* Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and revenue targets while maintaining excellent organisation and time management
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a holistic, business-level perspective
* A self-starter with a "go-getter" mindset who can work independently and collaboratively within a team
