I am working with a cultural institution to find two Library Project Officers.
These are contract positions, commencing 4 October and going through until 16 December. There is the possibility of extension into the new year.
In this position, you'll be required to:
- Retrieve collection material from the stacks
- Rehouse the collection into new boxes / containers
- Label the collection boxes / containers
- Create or update item descriptions (title, descriptions, dates) and metadata (e.g physical location of item) in MS Excel spreadsheets
- Be available to commence on 4 October
- Have used Excel before (even just to a basic level)
- Understand the importance of accuracy
- Be comfortable with lifting a maximum of 10kgs from shelving at different levels
- Have worked with collection materials previously
