We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to join our team at Shizuka Ryokan, a traditional Japanese guest house in Hepburn, Victoria. As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of the ryokan, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing staff across multiple departments. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role in a dynamic hospitality environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Directing and overseeing **reservation, reception, room service, and housekeeping** activities.
- Supervising **security arrangements**, and **garden and property maintenance** to ensure the hotel environment is protected and aesthetically pleasing.
- Planning and supervising **bar, restaurant, function, and conference activities** to enhance guest experiences.
- Ensuring compliance with **liquor, gaming**, and other relevant **laws and regulations**.
- **Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction** to maintain high levels of service and improve guest experiences.
- Overseeing **accounting and purchasing activities** to ensure efficient hotel operations.
- Ensuring compliance with **occupational health and safety regulations**.
- Providing guests with local **tourism information**, and arranging **tours and transportation** as needed.
**Skills & Experience Required**:
- At least 1 **years of experience** in a hotel management or supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and management skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and departments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and hotel operations.
- In-depth understanding of hospitality regulations and industry standards.
- A formal qualification in **Hospitality Management** or a related field is desirable but not essential.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
