Our client is a global corporate banking organisation looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their Sydney-based team. As a Management Accountant in this business, you will focus on producing accurate and timely management information, focusing mainly on expenses and headcount.
Core Duties
* Prepare monthly expense accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparation of cost integration and cost reporting.
* Prepare monthly thorough analysis of expenses per nature and per department.
* Prepare monthly management reporting expense and headcount data for head office and local management.
* Provide financial analysis on expenses in response to queries for head office and local management as requested.
* Detailed analysis of expenses for FBT purposes.
Systems Experience
* Knowledge of Accounting Systems
* Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes
* Knowledge/Experience in Paradigm, Surcouf, and Dolly will be highly valued
Qualifications
* Post Graduate Diploma or other studies in Accounting and/or the Banking / Finance Industry
* ACA / CPA or has commenced studies
* Management reporting experience, preferably in a financial Financial Services/Corporate banking environment
Ideally will also have:
* Clear understanding of expense booking principles, P&L impact, accruals, cost centres, expense nature
* Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills – there is a high number of manual processes and adjustments each month
* Adept at learning different systems, the role crosses AP, Performance databases, and GL Accounting so an ability to be flexible and learn systems is important
