About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead and drive the continuous development of our hospital team and will ensure high standards of clinical supervision, governance and safety. Imperative to your success in this role will be delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.
* Operational, commercial and financial management of the hospital
* Building positive relationships with Visiting Medical Officers
* Actively participating in business development
* Lead monthly P&L reviews
* Manage workforce planning of employees
* Maintain compliance through regular audits and adherence to NSQHS Standards and legislative requirements
* Ensure the safety of our patients and promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across all areas of the hospital
* Collaborating with and contributing to the wider Nexus Hospitals community
About You:
As the General Manager / Director of Nursing you will be an energetic and resilient leader with proven experience in operational and people management.
You have:
* A genuine passion for nursing and leading people, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare.
* Solid experience in a comparable role or Assistant Director of Nursing
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proven experience in achieving commercial results
* Experience with Quality Improvement activities, Infection Control Management and Accreditation processes
* A proactive "make it happen" approach
* Strong Perioperative nursing background
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
* Registration with AHPRA
