Structural Engineering Expert
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the establishment and growth of our Mining and Minerals business, working closely with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake detailed analysis and structural design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability
* Assess the behaviour and performance of materials under construction-stage conditions
* Develop and advise on construction methodologies and sequencing plans in consultation with site teams and contractors
* Collaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated solutions
* Review technical reports, drawings, and design calculations for quality and accuracy
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other project stakeholders as required for the delivery of projects
* Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and achieve project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner
* Prepare and review technical reports
* Identify and manage technical and commercial risks on behalf of our clients
* Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and participate in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as required
* Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with appropriate legislation, relevant standards, corporate requirements and systems
* Represent our company and instil confidence in our clients and external stakeholders of the value we bring
Requirements for this role include:
* Bachelor or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering
* Relevant industry experience (5-10 years)
* Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles
* Skilled in structural analysis software and able to produce clear, accurate documentation
* Proven experience in developing practical, buildable solutions under site constraints
* Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly with site teams and contractors
* A proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challenges
