We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support our Finance team.
Reporting to the Superintendent – Financial Reporting the Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing the end‐to‐end Accounts Receivable function and supporting the production of the company's financial reports and contributing to the fulfilment of statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting obligations through the delivery of reliable, high‐quality financial data. This is a permanent full‐time position based at St Georges Terrace, Perth.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
* Ensure timely month‐end, half‐year and year‐end closing and submission of accurate management and financial reports
* Handle high value invoicing, ensuring exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls
* Manage end‐to‐end accounts receivable processes and complete bank allocations as required
* Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting
* Contribute to preparing formal written reports that incorporate financial analysis and developing PowerPoint presentations with high data visibility
* Support the preparation of annual financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards, including assisting with external audit processes, providing supporting documentation, liaising with auditors, and helping resolve audit queries
* Participate in other ad‐hoc tasks as required
* Maintain and improve internal financial controls and procedures
To be successful in the role you will have:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar position
* Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, CPA or CA qualification
* Sound knowledge of IFRS, Australian Accounting standards (AASB)
* Advanced computer software skills including Excel
* Experience with SAP is an advantage
* Bilingual abilities to speak/ write in Mandarin and English
* A Police Clearance is required for this position
* Availability to work ad hoc weekends & public holidays to meet the company's monthly reporting
