This role accommodates your own study/scheduling requirements and is an ideal fit for a STEM student. Working hours can be arranged flexibly up to full days on up to seven days/fortnight.

A peer support worker is required for immediate start to work with a video game savvy, autistic 20 year old tertiary engineering student (currently maths/physics subjects).
This role will include the following tasks/duties:
* providing social engagement opportunities through engaging in video games and day excursions
* providing life skill development opportunities in everyday situations, i.e. shopping, travelling, internet/social media etiquette
* providing transport/attendance for therapy appointments and structured activities (currently gaming and other social skills group)
* providing assistance in accessing tertiary education (currently engineering), including communication, supporting independent study and organisational skills
Essential criteria include:
* strong knowledge (yr 12/1st year Uni equiv.) in engineering related subjects like maths, physics and video games as the main area of interest
* within the 20-30 age bracket to provide a peer experience
* strong verbal communication skills
* Driver's License, roadworthy vehicle and comprehensive insurance
Desirable criteria include:
* understanding or prior experience working with autistic young adults
* flexibility to attend on a varying schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays
