Heavy Duty Drill Mechanic
This role is available for a skilled Heavy Duty Drill Mechanic to perform safe and high-quality maintenance, servicing, and repairs on our Open Pit drill fleet.
* Perform daily inspections, servicing, and component changeouts on Epiroc T45 and D65 rigs by OEM standards and maintenance schedules
* Conduct reactive maintenance and fault diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Communicate with planners on work progress, upcoming component changeouts, and parts requirements
* Accurately complete work orders, defect reports, and service documentation using CMMS (e.g., AMT, SAP)
Main Responsibilities
* Regular inspections of the work area to identify hazards, damage, and defects
* Ensure all work complies with site standards, OEM specifications, and WA statutory classified plant requirements
* Assist team members, mentor apprentices (where applicable), and contribute to safe, efficient shift handovers
* Communicate actively and openly with the direct supervisor
Necessary Qualifications
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate – Heavy Diesel Fitter / Mobile Plant Technology
* Minimum of 3-5 years of heavy diesel/mobile plant experience required
* Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's Licence (Essential)
* Epiroc OEM training or demonstrated hands-on experience with T45 and D65 rigs
* Strong commitment to safety and a team player
