This position will be primarily responsible for clinical and sales support for MitraClipTM. MitraClipTM is a transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVr) device to treat Mitral Regurgitation. It is an echocardiography-guided procedure. The primary scope of this role is to cover Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist customers and other clinical stakeholders with MitraClip case planning, including assessing patient suitability.
* Provide clinical case coverage during the MitraClip procedure.
* Interact with customers and other clinical stakeholders for any post-case MitraClip discussion and evaluation.
* Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and physicians within the MitraClip account (Interventionalist, Echo Cardiologist, CV Surgeon, Valve Coordinator, Nurse Unit Manager, General Cardiologist) to generate awareness and referrals.
* Assist in conducting customer training workshops (including echo workshops) ranging from onboarding training activities to continuous education to maintaining and increasing physician skill levels.
* Optimize process regarding patient screening and procedure scheduling.
* Call on referring physicians to present the MitraClip technology and clinical data.
* Advise physicians and team members on complicated cases.
* Support local and national conferences/programs.
Qualifications
* Echocardiography experience is favorable but not mandatory.
* Good understanding of the industry process and function; able to confidently discuss this with customers, as well as internal and external experts.
* Minimum of 2 years sales experience and clinical support.
* Proven track record in the sales / clinical introduction of sophisticated medical therapeutic, procedure‐enabling devices that require significant clinician training.
