Steamatic Ballarat/Horsham is excited to present an opportunity for a Full-time hands-on Restoration Technician role in Ballarat, where no prior experience is necessary. If you're practical, comfortable using tools, and enjoy working independently, this could be the ideal next step in your career. This role involves helping restore homes and businesses affected by flood, fire, smoke, and mould damage. No trade qualifications are needed, as full training will be provided on-site.

What You’ll Do:

- Restoration work, including inspecting and assessing damage, water extraction, drying, and mould/fire damage cleanup and remediation (comprehensive training provided)

- Drying, cleaning, removal or relaying of carpet as deemed necessary

- Emergency flood services such as water extraction, contents & structural drying, and stripping out

- Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete jobs safely

- Mould remediation of damaged property including careful removal of damaged building materials

- Work directly with clients, helping to navigate challenges in a professional manner

- Maintain and manage company equipment, vehicle, and worksite cleanliness

- Accurately complete digital reports and documentation

- Participate in an on-call roster for emergency jobs

- Assist with furniture moving and content pack outs

- A commitment to safety, with the ability to handle manual labour tasks, such as lifting and relocating furniture and equipment

- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required for work

- The capacity to work outside normal business hours as required

- The ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Be physically fit, express a desire to learn new skills and take place in ongoing training programs
