Lead people. Strengthen services. Connect communities across Queensland.
Drug ARM (Awareness, Rehabilitation, Management) is a respected not‐for‐profit with more than 40 years' experience reducing the harms associated with alcohol and other drug use. Our vision is flourishing people and communities living free from harm -delivered through trauma‐informed, client‐centred services grounded in dignity, safety and empowerment.
Operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Queensland, Drug ARM delivers education, prevention, counselling, early intervention, treatment and recovery, and homelessness support services. This work requires strong, thoughtful leadership and that's where this role makes a real difference.
About the role
As Client Services Manager, you provide operational leadership across multiple programs and locations, ensuring services are delivered safely, consistently and in line with strategic objectives and funding requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Services Officer, you work closely alongside another Client Services Manager as part of a collaborative services leadership model. Staff are further supported by an experienced Clinical Lead, who provides clinical supervision and secondary consultation, allowing you to focus on operational management, workforce support and service quality.
This role operates with a high level of professional judgement and autonomy. You are trusted to interpret policy, manage service environments and make informed decisions that balance client safety, staff wellbeing, compliance and service sustainability.
A defining feature of this role: connection
Drug ARM's workforce includes teams in metropolitan hubs, regional centres and very remote communities. In some locations, a single staff member represents the organisation.
This role will strongly appeal to someone who genuinely cares about ensuring geographically dispersed staff feel connected, supported and part of the organisation, regardless of location. While regular travel isn't required, a commitment to consistent communication, leadership presence and inclusion is essential.
Key responsibilities

About you
You are an experienced people manager who enjoys enabling others to do their best work.
You bring sound judgement, emotional intelligence and a structured, practical approach to leadership. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities with confidence and are comfortable making decisions in complex service settings.
You are particularly motivated by the opportunity to support and connect a workforce spread across regional and remote Queensland, ensuring no staff member feels isolated simply because of geography.

* Strong capability with Microsoft Office and service information systems
