Casual Agitator Driver/Relief Batcher
Driving a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers and batchers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As a Driver/Batcher, you will make multiple deliveries throughout the day, operate the batch plant, and interact with many different people. Every day will be different; there's nothing routine about this role!
About The Role
* Rates: $35.74 per hour plus penalties (rate ×1.5 after 8 hours, rate ×2.0 after 10 hours).
* You will be based at Margaret River Concrete Plant.
* Most days will start at 7am-3pm; drivers can work up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50–55 hours per week.
* Driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels – you'll interact with many personalities daily; you need to be comfortable with new people.
* We provide cutting‐edge technology to keep you safe while driving, and to help you map your routes and track loads.
* All new starters go through a 10‐day training program before we let you loose by yourself.
* Occasional concrete batching when required.
About You
* Minimum of an HR licence (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred).
* You enjoy meeting people and chatting with them when you're onsite.
* You prefer variety in your working life – no two days are ever the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks.
* You take pride in the appearance of your truck; keep it clean, washed, and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck.
* Able to pass a pre‐employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites).
