Overview
Red Cross Shops sell new and donated clothes, accessories and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year we rescue over 500 tonnes of clothing from landfill, provide opportunities for more than 3500 volunteers, and generate funds for Red Cross to support vulnerable people in Australia and globally.
Responsibilities
* Lead and engage a team of shop volunteers with sales and customer service.
* Create window and visual merchandising displays.
* Prepare donations for sale.
* Contribute your skills and help us raise money for those in need.
* Assist with day‑to‑day running of a charity store to raise funds.
* Train new volunteers in store operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in retail customer service/management and preloved fashion is desirable.
* Experience as a store coordinator is advantageous.
* Must be able to commit approximately 15 hours per week, 2–3 days, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday (full days or half days from 10am to 4pm).
* Must undergo a National Police Check (organised by Red Cross).
* Commitment of regular: more than 6 months.
* Time required: minimum 15 hours per week, weekdays and/or weekends.
* Type of work: Retail & Sales.
* Training: volunteer induction and role‑specific training will be provided.
* Commitment: ongoing support and training provided by the Area Manager.
