We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse with experience working within a Multipurpose Service to join our team in Norseman.
While we aim to fill this vacancy permanently, a fixed-term contract will be considered if required, with the possibility of extension(s) and/permanency.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, performing, and evaluating patient care, while promoting best practice across all areas. You will manage a patient caseload, oversee nursing care delivery by personnel, and act as a crucial resource for your colleagues. Additionally, you will participate in discharge planning and community health services, contributing to the overall well-being of patients and families.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Extensive post-registration nursing experience
* Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to plan and facilitate the management of a ward/unit/emergency department
* Well-developed communication abilities and knowledge of performance management
* Current knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, such as Equal Opportunity and Occupational Safety & Health
* A current C or C-A class driver’s licence (essential)
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial progress towards them (desirable)
* Demonstrated teaching skills and a willingness to promote hospital services in the rural community (desirable)
Key responsibilities of the role involve:
* Directing nursing care to ensure adherence to hospital policies
* Managing a patient caseload while providing triage and trauma assessment
* Participating in quality management programmes in conjunction with the Director of Nursing
* Facilitating the education and professional development of nursing staff
* Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to uphold high standards of nursing practice

Area Profile
The Goldfields region of the WA Country Health Service covers the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The region is located in the south eastern corner of Western Australia and covers 770,488 sq km (including offshore islands).
