Salary Range: CCEO Level 4 $80,318 - $90,765 FTE gross per annum

About The Role
The main purpose of the Payroll Officer role is to prepare and process in a timely manner a high quality, accurate payroll with a focus on customer service in accordance with legislation, policies and agreements for all staff of the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns (CEDC). A high level of organisational skills is required to ensure that the processing of documentation and the prioritisation of tasks in a complex work environment are effectively managed. This position works closely with internal and external stakeholders to effectively contribute towards the achievement of the Strategic Direction.
Work Requirements
* Knowledge and experience in a significant range of administrative procedures as well as payroll experience in medium to large organisations.
* Sound knowledge or the ability to develop sound knowledge of relevant legislation related to payroll including taxation and superannuation
* Intermediate computer literacy skills and knowledge Microsoft Office applications.
* Organisational and planning skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadline.
* Hold a Working with Children Blue Card or be eligible to apply
* Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
* A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education.
