As a fast-growing company with a strong customer-first culture, we are committed to providing solutions that make a real difference on-farm.We’re now looking for a Research & Development Lead. The role will be based on-site at our Toowoomba/Gatton Production Facility to support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of our livestock nutrition products and delivery systems.
The Opportunity:As our Research & Development Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading livestock nutrition research, driving product development, and delivering scientifically validated outcomes that support both product performance and customer success. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our supplement range while working closely with customers, sales teams, and industry stakeholders.
What You’ll Do: · Develop and execute livestock research projects to validate the efficacy of nutritional supplements delivered via the uDOSETM, ensuring evidence-based outcomes.· Analyze and interpret data, preparing detailed reports to support research claims.· Stay up to date with industry trends, research, and innovations in livestock nutrition.· Design and develop new livestock supplements to be delivered through the uDOSETM and improve existing DIT AgTech diet supplements based on market needs and scientific insights.· Lead product development to ensure effectiveness that will result in customer satisfaction.· Provide nutritional advice/support to the Sales team and customers, ensuring accurate and valuable information is shared.· Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback for product refinement.· Lead the livestock R&D team, fostering a culture of creativity and scientific rigor.· Manage livestock R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives. What You’ll Bring: · Proven expertise in livestock nutrition and supplementation.· Strong understanding of scientific research procedures, including experimental design, data collection, experience with statistical software (R and/or SAS or other) and analysis.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.· Experience collaborating with external stakeholders, such as research organizations and customers.· Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.· Ability to develop industry networks in government, commercial and universities· Excellent personal presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively· A high level of computer skills
