We provide specialist products directly to the customer and pride ourselves on our use of the finest ingredients, artisan produce and made-to-order speciality products.
Responsibilities
* Assist daily production of all high-quality, made-to-order, artisan goods.
* Prepare a wide range of products including small cakes & cookies, whole cakes, slabs & slices, sweet and savoury pastries.
* Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness practices, and compliance with OH and S regulations throughout the shift.
* Work with the Head Chef to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and on time.
* Prepare all aspects of pastry fillings from dry ingredients.
* Glaze and decorate pastries and cakes as per customer order instructions.
* Monitor baking times based on the appearance of goods during the shift.
* Ensure order deadlines are met.
Required skills and work ethic
* Reliable and punctual.
* Schedule and manage workloads to meet deadlines for made-to-order products.
* Passionate about baking with high-quality produce and following traditional methods.
* Good work ethic.
* Team player.
* Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
* Own vehicle and current driver licence preferred.
* Robust communication skills.
* Minimum 2 years experience as a pastry cook with a relevant Certificate 3 or above, or 3 years of experience without a relevant certificate.
